Flow heaters, sometimes referred to as line heaters, do not incorporate any storage and are connected directly to the pipeline. Flow heaters are ideal for heating sodium hydroxide solution that is to be distributed around a pipe-work system or for heating a storage vessel where it is necessary to locate the heating elements outside the vessel.
For small applications an EC type heater can be used and is fitted with fixed rod elements. Please contact our technical department for the correct specification of EC heater. For larger heating applications EH carbon steel vessels or FH stainless steel vessels are available and we would recommend fitting with an RE, removable core, type heater, however, GE, glanded, rod element heaters can also be fitted. Please consult our technical department to obtain the correct specification of heater.
Light duty flow heater with a range of loads from 1kW to 24kW in single and three phase with IP66 terminal enclosure. Suitable for heating water but can be specified for oils.
